In recent years, the movement toward more mindful fashion production has gained significant momentum. Many fashion brands are incorporating sustainability into various stages of their production processes, and as a fashion platform, we aim to make these sustainable products more accessible to our customers. To help guide our customers, we’ve developed an internal system based on international certifications to assess sustainability. When a product meets at least one of our sustainability criteria, it will be marked with a sustainable flag.
climate conscious cotton
Finer Cotton / Better Standad Cotton
is used for products which cotton production was made with more sustainable practices than is used with conventional cotton. Such a cotton was grow with lesser usage of water chemical fertilizers and pesticides which significantly helps to reduce the environmental footprint of cotton farming
The eco-friendly label
is used for products that are made using more environmently-friendly proceses which uses less water, energy and chemicals. Products with international certifications such as bluesign®, the 100 standard by OEKO-TEX® and MADE IN GREEN by OEKO-TEX® are placed under this label.
Organic Cotton
label means that product is made mostly by naturally cultivated cotton without the use of any synthetic agricultural chemicals as fertilizers or pesticides.
Primeblue
" Primeblue is a high-performance recycled material made in part with Parley Ocean Plastic—upcycled plastic waste intercepted on remote islands, beaches, coastal communities and shorelines, preventing it from polluting our ocean. Primeblue belongs to main innovative materials created by adidas."
Primegreen
is an innovative material developed by adidas. Products which carry this label are made from 100% sustainable material that does not contain virgin plastic
Recycled
Products with this label are made mostly of recycled materials mostly made from old waste such as plastic bottles and clothes. These products has smaller environmental footprint thanks to processing more waste materials than virgin materials.
Reecycled
Another material from Reebok which was developed to minimize environmental footprint of production. The overall recycled content of the garment is minimum 30% by weight in apparel and accessories. In footwear minimum 30% of the upper is made from recycled materials by weight. Additionally the products do not contain virgin polyester.
Reegrow
Products with this label are made with at least 50% plant-based or natural materials, as part of Reebok commitment to minimize usage of man-made plastics.
Parley Ocean Plastic™
Is a material created from upcycled plastic waste that was intercepted from beaches and coastal communities before reaching the ocean. Parley for the Oceans works with partners to collect, sort and transport the recovered raw material (mainly PET bottles) to the adidas supplier who produces the yarn, which is legally trademarked. It is used as a replacement for virgin plastic in the making of adidas x Parley collection of high-performance sportswear.
Vegan
Product with vegan label has been made with vegan alternatives to animal derived materials or ingredients, like leather and down to offer you a vegan option with animal free ingredients.
